Phoenix Exteriors & Solar has been operating in Chicagoland since 2007. Our Mission is to help our world and local community combat climate change through innovative Roofing & Solar solutions. We only partner with manufacturers that have "green" initiatives in their business model, like Tesla.

We are in need of an experienced solar sales person to work in our Schaumburg, IL corporate headquarters. Our company is overloaded with inbound leads due to a partnership with Tesla Solar Roof division, also we have a great marketing team.
Ideal candidate has solar experience, we will teach you roofing & siding, and be able to guide clients through the solar process selling them everything from powering their home from the sun, to EV chargers, to Batteries & Smart Meters.
You must go through an elaborate Tesla Solar Roof training, even go to some of our Tesla Solar Roof jobsites to learn this new technology. Phoenix is Tesla's #1 local Solar Roof dealer in Chicago as well as in Tennessee (Memphis & Nashville)

Responsibilities:

  • Present solar and roofing product proposals to potential clients, including Tesla Solar Roofing proposals
  • Ensure monthly and annual sales goals and quotas are met
  • Maintain consistent communication with prospects and provide regular follow up in order to close the sale
  • Provide exceptional customer service following the close of the sales and ensure a smooth transition to the production team
  • Respond timely to client questions through the sales and production process
  • Request referrals from existing clients to generate new business through referrals
  • Create and maintain a regular pipeline of clients in order to close new business
  • Ensure the company CRM system is up to date with the proper status for solar and roofing sales
  • Communicate regularly with production and administrative staff throughout the production process
  • Provide KPI information and sales metrics to the Sales Manager
  • Maintain up to date knowledge on the current solar and roofing products and competing company products available
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

Additional Job Details:

  • Full-time (minimum 40 hours per week)
  • Required Office Hours (10am-7pm - Monday through Thursday with Friday’s optional. and a 4-hour shift on Saturdays from home)
  • Additional hours would be required at home or visiting customers homes

What You'll Need:

  • 2+ years sales experience in the solar space preferred
  • Exceptional ability to identify, cultivate and close sales deals
  • Excellent phone communication skills
  • Excellent professional email writing skills is a must
  • Timely responses & availability to clients is a must
  • Current or previous experience creating long-lasting and productive relationship with commercial partners
  • Ability to exhibit success exceeding quotas and KPI’s

Compensation:

  • $30k to $50k base, negotiable
  • Commissions on sales
  • Yearly earning should be over $100k or this opportunity isn't for either of us
